Descriptive norms may be determined in a similar fashion (Fishbein & Ajzen, 2010b). Descriptive normative beliefs, that is "the perceived behaviors of particular individuals or groups" (Fishbein & Ajzen, 2010b, p. 146), represent the cognitive foundation for descriptive norms.
